Fat Grafting

Fat grafting is a procedure using fat taken from unwanted fatty deposits elsewhere in your body and relocating them.

Our fat grafting procedure is performed under local anaesthetic in our clinic. Tiny parcels of fat are harvested from a donor area such as your thighs, inner knees or lower abdomen (or flanks in men) through a fine specialised cannula. The fat is condensed using a centrifuge and then injected into other fat deficient areas of your body through puncture holes without cutting or removing skin.

The fat can be injected into different parts of the body, but is most commonly used to re-volume the face, neck and hands. The procedure uses your own fat cells which reduces the chances of allergy or contamination.

•    Restoring volume for hollow or sagging facial features
•    Improving your facial and neck skin tightness
•    Filling in fine facial lines and wrinkles
•    Improving the appearance of scars and other skin imperfections
•    Procedure uses local anaesthesia
•    In-clinic day procedure

The results and recovery time can be improved with gentle HelioTherm® (light and heat) treatments to reduce inflammation and improve tissue rejuvenation.

The procedure is effective for both men and women. Patients are able to return to work within a few days of the procedure.

Please note: ‘Any surgical or invasive procedure carries risks. Before proceeding, you should seek a second opinion from an appropriately qualified health practitioner.’
